End Hunger NJ provides live assistance. Dial 2-1-1 or text your zip code to 898-211 at any time to contact a resource specialists.

Food Pantry or Soup Kitchen can help you find the food pantry or soup kitchen closest to your home. Dial 2-1-1 at any time to speak with one of our resource specialists or search the 2-1-1 database using the search term "food" and choosing from the search categories provided to find the resource that best fits your needs. You can also text your zip code to 898-211 and we will text you information about resources in your community. 

New Jersey Anti-Hunger Coalition provides information on food pantries listed by county. It is a not searchable, like the End Hunger site, but it includes more information about each program, such as what other services are offered and the hours of operation. 


NJ SNAP is the nutrition assistance program to help low-income individuals and families buy the groceries needed to eat healthy. Go to NJHelps.org to pre-screen or to apply online. 

NJHelps.org provides information and pre-screening for Work First New Jersey (WFNJ), which includes Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) and General Assistance (GA). 

Pandemic P-EBT  is a federal program ot help families buy food for children who are not receiving free or reduced-priced meals because schools are closed due to the pandemic. This assistance comes through the New Jersey Department of Human Services. The P-EBT card works like a debit card to purchase food items anywhere EBT benefits (also known as food stamps) are accepted.
